anyone know of a 3D modeling/CAD program for linux?

well, the topic pretty much says it, I'm looking for a 3D modeling/CAD program, anyone know of one I can get for linux or for that matter how to get and install it?

Check out blender, its already in portage. http://www.blender.org/

Qcad is in 1.0 BE sabayon or search the forums I posted a whole list or a link to a whole list about this possibly 30 to 45 days ago.

Have to check them out and find the one that works for you.

If you've got deep pockets there are commercial 3D CAD packages for Linux. There's a review of VariCAD 2007 2.01 in the November (sic) 2007 issue of Linux Format magazine, and it gets a rating of 9/10. Which is just as well as it lists at US$ 680.
