3.4F DVD x86 hangs in gui install on virtualbox

Hi,

as the title says the gui installer hangs at 3.23% (total progress 53%) on my machine when it comes to the point installing virtualbox-bin.

Very sad cause virtualbox is a programm which I wouldn't use anyway (hello vmware ).

Can I solve this somehow and finally upgrade respectively repair my system?

Virtualbox takes ages to allocate the actual virtual hd space on the hd in any OS. So I posted a 1.5mb empty ext3 virtual hd in rar format that can be extracted to the 20gb needed or used for a dvd install.

This 20gb space can be partitioned into 128mb "/boot" , double ram you allocated seems 768mb ram works well , rest remaining in 20gb virtual hd to " / " partition / root partition.
I found that 768mb ram and 32mb Video ram works well if you have this to spare..

Lockup = not enough space for install as a full dvd + all options takes effectively 12gb minm space only excluding swap or /boot partition.
