Postby ARTIMUS_MK9 » Sat Sep 15, 2007 21:56

I am having problems getting sound to work on my desktop, my sound card works on my windows partition and even the distro of ubuntu I tried but I can't get the sound to work here. I have a sound blaster audigy SE and I've heard it works with sabayon, but it wont. please help :(

Check out the following link to the wiki:

http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=HOWTO:_Set_up_Alsa_%28for_sound%29_and_Amarok

You have to run alsaconf first, then kmixer (assuming you're using KDE) or alsamixer. Once you activate it, it should work fine. You may have to tweak some settings in kmixer, though.

Hope that helps!
