I have a bit of a problem here. I'm updating my games and I noticed this when I did a search:
Code: Select all

Usually I see a binary and a source for major apps. Why are there 2 binaries?

I was also going to ask which one I should install but I picked the source package since it's more up-to-date.

Did you get either to work? I got the version in entropy to install correctly. Didn't help me though cause it is too out of date for the server to accept connection. I tried the more recent one in portage and never saw any way to start it up. Tried the same approach that worked for the non-working version so to speak.

UPDATE: I got it to work with a VERY easy method suggested by Coma here: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=8896&p=109395#p109395 . It seems to good to be true but so far it works for me.
