Hello, i am fairly new to Gentoo/Sabayon, and just recently started using beryl and compiz and was wonder what is so different about them and if there were any pros or cons.

Beryl is no more, in the past the devs split to form their own and now the devs are back together, so right now the only developed one is Compiz-Fusion.
