Firefox-bin and plugins

Everytime I try and install plugins (i.e. mplayerplug-in) it attempts to install firefox, even though I already have firefox-bin installed. I'm sure that there is some simple way around this, but I don't know what it is, so someone help a brother out.

It's ok, I just installed the regular firefox. It didn't even take that long, around an hour I think (I wasn't paying close attention).
