Chinese Characters

Postby thewho443 » Wed Aug 29, 2007 4:50

Is there any way to get openoffice2.2 or any other word processor on linux to create Chinese characters by inputing pinyin into the text similar to how MSWord does? I'm taking a chinese course where we have to type papers in chinese and it would be great if anyone knew how to do this.

Thanks

You might want to try openoffice help pages or even gentoo.org as you have to change several things , might have a look here at manos 's post he got his to do greek and it is the same way to do chineses but might need extra info he did not need or posted
