Second monitor end at sabayon boot?

Hi there,

I really loved linux ubuntu and now sabayon, but never did get the resolutions and dual monitor work.

I got 2 screens. AL2216W (DVI) and AL1916W. both on the same graphic cart (nvidia 7900GT)
When i boot the system, i see both the screens in a twinview way.

But at the log screen the big screen stops en goes off. WHY?

I finaly got the small screen at the right resolution, but want the big screen as well.

In the nvidia settings the big screen is nog displayed.

Any help is welcome. Im really stuck..

have u tried looking on http://www.gentoo-wiki.com, in howto section search for dual screen (or dual monitor, i don't remember)

Might even work if google.com + search for " linux dual monitor " as someone here in the forums got it working from a gentoo or ubuntu forum how to not sure.
Most users just use nvidia control panel to do it or ati control panel and then it works from then on.

I used the Nvidia X Server Settings to set up my dual monitors
however i found that the "save to x configuration file" button doesnt actually save the settings to xorg.conf
but click it anyway then click the "show preview" button it will open to reveal your actual new settings, copy the whole thing
then as superuser in konsole do gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

select the whole xorg.conf and then paste in your new settings and save
