How do I turn 3d effects off? [Solved]

Postby serenicom » Sat Aug 25, 2007 2:46

The 3d effects work fine on my laptop, but at times they are distracting.

Is there a way to start without the 3d effects without going back and installing with acceleration off?

I don't really want to remove it completely, just disable it during some sessions...

I am VERY new to Sabayon ( and love it) but the learning curve after PCLinuxOS is pretty steep. I Like PCLinux OS but it will not work with my laptop hardware correctly, Sabayon found everything out of the box, most impressive! I miss the Control Center though...

TIA - Phil Stephens

you have the fusion-icon in the tray right?

just make your selection there, go to kwin or metacity and than vice versa

Yup... That did it. Thanks, I played around with those settings, but missed the significance of the "Window manager" option

Thanks all, still learning, getting frustrated, etc. But I will persevere.
