gnome-system-tools, and liboobs

I can't get any of the *-admin programs to work like shares-admin or users-admin. They run, but either complain about samba or nfs not being installed (they are installed) or they show an empty list. I get the following error when running the programs manually.

Any ideas what might be causing this?? I have dbus running and everything seems to be working. It is a clean install from the 3.4 dvd and repeats every single time I reinstall.

have you tried to update gnome? or reinstall liboobs?

not sure this will do, but worth the try.
add gnome-experimental overlay, then reinstall liboobs or update it.
also, try reinstalling system-tools-backends and gnome-system-tools, or update them.

Thanks for the tip, but the problem must lie elsewhere. I've updated all the packages you told me to and it still returns the same error message.

Just upgraded to 3.4e (clean install) from 3.4a, I still have this problem. Something tells me that the gnome installation is incomplete with Sabayon.

After a fresh 3.4e install I get

odd, working great from the moment it was installed here. I use grub as my primary desktop too.
