Why am I having only 1 desktop? Even though i rotate the cube i still have the same stuff on it? Is it suppose to have a new desktop when i rotate it?

That is the normal behaviour, (assuming you mean the icons on the desktop stay the same and windows on it are different)

Im not actually sure if you can have different actual desktops on each one..

I have that happening too. If you change the number of desktops using the compiz config settings manager under General Options > Desktop Size > Number of Desktops - you can get it back to normal. Although, for me it goes back to the single desktop after restarting a session.
