Hi everyone. I just posted to say ive got this usb modem (its really crapy, i know lol), its a DSL. Ive recently installed Sabayon linux, and i dont seem to get the modem to work on it. I'm not sure if the OS comes with its drives. The only thing that the modem recieves is "power", meaning it recieves electricity, nothing else. It doesnt engage any link, nor it transfers data, meaning i cannot connect to the internet.

I'm saving some money to buy an ethernet server, since many people told me that they are the easiest to install in linux, and oftenly are authomatic (?!). I'm a complete noob with linux, so i wont get half the things you tell me, so if you please explain this like to a 6 year old kid, i'll be really thankfull.

Since this modem comes with an internet service from argentina, most people who know how to use this modem in linux are spanish speaking, so if you find it easier in spanish, i dont care, both english and spanish are fluid for me.

On a lesser note, i want to stand out that ive got a pend drive USB Kingston 128MB, that seems not to work. The OS doesnt trace it (ubuntu did, idk why). I go to the mian menu, "places, the drive doesnt show up. Also i go to the media folder, where all the hdd are located, and no pen drive data appears. Even by plugging it in and out wont help. So if any of you guys helps me with all this USB chaos, i will be really thankfull.
