yikes? the purple thing?? there seems to be a lot of versions of this modem.

got a friends working a few days ago (purple thing) emerge -C speedtouch then

emerge speedtouch-usb, read the output, it puts the config files in somewhere like /usr/share/docs/speedtouch.tar.gz (read the output of emerge).. extract it .. read...it tells you exactly what to do

Ok
I`v done it as You suggest . Here what I got in my console window:

!!! Error: the net-dialup/speedtouch-usb package conflicts with another package;

!!! the two packages cannot be installed on the same system together.

!!! Please use 'emerge --pretend' to determine blockers.

For more information about Blocked Packages, please refer to the following

section of the Gentoo Linux x86 Handbook (architecture is irrelevant):

http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/h ... ckedDuring instalation of Sabayon my modem was connected to my computer.
What should I do ? When I use " emerge --pretend " console shows : emerge usage (option) etc....etc. Shuld I unplugged my modem from USB and try to install Sabayon once again and after that used emerge speedtouch-usb ?
