"No Imlib2 loader for that file format" [Solved]

Postby echo6 » Fri Aug 17, 2007 22:43

A recent upgrade of imlib2 has resulted in this error when trying to set a background wallpaper in fluxbox.

Any ideas how to fix?

No idea but this could help.
Might want to google for the im2lib and see if they have a .jpg or .gif type or similar extension in the latest version you installed or just change the walpaper to a known working format .bmp .jpg .???

Might have to run
# su
passwd:
# revep-rebuild -X
as this should fix broken packages / dependancy's or similar / reinstall them for you.

I tried revdep-rebuild with no luck.

This is a strange one, see error below.
Code: Select all
echo6@toshiba ~/.fluxbox/backgrounds $ feh pi_by_vayne1USSR.jpg
feh WARNING: pi_by_vayne1USSR.jpg - No Imlib2 loader for that file format
feh - No loadable images specified.

For some reason jpeg was the only imlib2 loader not being built, this fixed it.

USE="jpg" emerge imlib2
echo6
