Hi

First of, stop using portato. :D
Second, you are installing the wrong version of compiz-fusion. You should be installing version 9999 and you are installing version 0.5.2. This is wrong.
Third, you shouldn't be enabling all of those USE flags. If you are using KDE only then you shouldn't be enabling the GNOME use flags.

Can you type emerge -pv compiz into a konsole and report back as to what it says.

Thanks

Laptop7X bri7x # emerge -pv compiz

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild N ] x11-wm/compiz-9999 USE="dbus fuse gnome gtk kde svg" 0 kB [1]

Total: 1 package (1 new), Size of downloads: 0 kB
Portage tree and overlays:
[0] /usr/portage
[1] /usr/portage/local/layman/sabayon

That's the response from the -pv on compiz.......as you can probably tell haha.
Sure, I'll stop using portato.

What should I do next?

OK

First, make sure that anything related to compiz-fusion is uninstalled.

Second, in a root konsole type:
USE="-gnome -gtk -branding" emerge x11-libs/bcop x11-apps/ccsm x11-wm/compiz x11-libs/compiz-bcop x11-libs/compizconfig-backend-gconf x11-libs/compizconfig-backend-kconfig dev-python/compizconfig-python x11-wm/compiz-fusion x11-plugins/compiz-fusion-plugins-extra x11-plugins/compiz-fusion-plugins-main x11-plugins/compiz-fusion-plugins-threed x11-plugins/compiz-fusion-plugins-unsupported x11-apps/compiz-settings x11-libs/libcompizconfig

Third, install the last thing by typing USE="gtk qt4" emerge x11-apps/fusion-icon

Just copy and paste the lines in and see what happens.

Good luck

You shouldn't be having this many errors. With Sabayon version 3.4 it should be easy to compile compiz-fusion as this version of sabayon has already been set up to use compiz-fusion.
Unless you messed something up with your system when you were trying to install compiz-0.5.2 by mistake.

Anyway, I've gotta leave now as I'm off out to work. Take a quick look here also to see if others have had your problem http://forum.compiz-fusion.org/
There is an installation section.

Good luck
