Sonata in swedish, please (or at least english)

Postby killerrabbit » Tue Aug 14, 2007 7:56

I've been unable to find an previous post on this issue. I've had Sonata fully working and in swedish before, but after an reinstall of my system and new install of Sonata, all controls, menus and messages are in a language I can only barely recognize as either polish or czech or something. Actually there's one button with swedish caption on it and that is the "thanx"-button on the about window (it reads "tack")

This is what I've tried to resolve this issue so far:

1. Remerged Sonata, carefully reviewing the USE flags (noticed it actually generating a dir and file for sv language)
2. Unmerged and emerged Sonata again (and again noticed it actually generating a dir and file for sv language)
3. Removed locales.build, checked locale.gen and remerged Glibc (updated)
4. Checked /etc/env.d/02locale and it reads as:
Code: Select all
LANG="sv_SE.UTF-8"
LC_ALL="sv_SE.UTF-8"
LANGUAGE="sv_SE.UTF-8"
SYSFONT="latarcyrheb-sun16"

5. Reviewed ~/.config/sonata/sonatarc but found nothing refering to set locale
6. Deleted the ~/.config/sonata directory and run the application again

Seeing none of these resolving the issue, and neither find any resources on it or less how to resolve it i don't know what else to do. I'd thought at least english would be default if not my set locale worked :(

BTW i've had the issue on Arch, not resolved it then either, but was anyways going for Sabayon with the 3.4 release (before that the Sabayon installer wouldn't work on my comp). I had it working until I reinstalled clean with the 3.4e release. I'm also still hoping for a release that comes with a driver for my ATI Radeon Mobility x1600 grahics to work with Compiz Fusion (maybe once the Xorg open source Avivo driver matures... :roll: )
