Pidgin pluginpack [Solved]

Postby dss2000 » Wed Aug 08, 2007 14:34

I want to compile the pluginpack for pidgin. I downloaded the lastest release, but when i ./configure it, the output reads "Checking for pidgin... no" . I am runing pidgin. 2.1.0 by the way. Correctly installed

Another question: even if i wouldn't have pidgin installed, and i would like to compile the plugins, would it be possible? I tried compiling individually a plugin by 'make mystatusbox.so' inside its folder for example, but it doesn't work.

Thank you in advance

It worked fine on my machine. Did you look at config.log to see what the error was? The configure script uses the following command to check for pidgin, you could try it to see what error is produced:
Code: Select all
pkg-config --exists --print-errors "pidgin"

It wouldn't work, since plugins need the pidgin and purple header files.
