How can I help Sabayon?

Postby Dio » Wed Aug 23, 2006 0:25

How can I get involved in the developement and/or testing of Sabayon? I don't have much programing experience, but I really want to pitch in any way I can.

Its wonderful that you would like to get involved, but we are looking for people who do have programming experience. However, the best way to start earning that is by finding bugs and squashing them yourself and then offering solutions to the problems. This will show dedication and a true inclination to learning linux :)

To help with bug-finding, is it possible that you guys can allow a testing release for the next few versions so that we can find the bugs before release?

We have our internal beta team for that :) But again, we need experience for that area as of now. All people can help by bug hunting and lettings us know (use bugzilla! )

You could write for the wiki...

As for the devs it depends where they find the bug.

Graphics is another area

I would love to help, but 74+ hours a week working just doesn't leave me a whole lot of time. I just try to be active on the forum and in IRC - someone has to be the odd-ball.

I should just build another computer with sabayon on it and have it next to me at work
