Hi,
I have an IBM Thinkpad T40 with a Cisco Aironet 802.11b card. KNetworkManager sees my network, but refuses to connect. It always stops at 28%, and then fails. The logs so me the return value to phase 2 of the connection fails, wpa_supplicant does not return 'OK'.
After some searching, I see that wpa_supplicant is not running at all. On my Gateway laptop, I can see wpa_supplicant started with '-g /var/run/wap_supplicant-global'.
So, on the Thinkpad, I did:
# wpa_supplicant -g /var/run/wpa_supplicant-global
Now, when I use KNetworkManager, the network connects perfectly. Where should wpa_supplicant be launched from? What am I missing? The same issue occurred with the livecd environment.
Sabayon 3.4a
Thanks,
Gerald
