Adjust Mouse Speed

Postby kstephens98 » Mon Aug 06, 2007 14:39

Can anyone clue me in on how to adjust the speed of the mouse in Sabayon 3.4a?

I've tried the KDE control panel, but nothing I try in there seems to work. I am specifically trying to slow my mouse down as it is way too fast for my liking.

I've also tried using Konsole with:
xset m <acceleration> <threshold>
&
xset m 1/2 1

as found in the Gentoo Wiki. This had no affect either.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Hi

The only way I know is as you said.

Control Panel -> Peripherals -> Mouse
Click on the "Advance tab"
At the top it says "Pointer Acceleration". You can only go down to 1.0x. If this is still too fast then you got a problem. I'll check to see if there are any programs available that will slow it down further.

All the best

Yeah, I've set that to 1.0 but its still flying across my screen like the superhero Flash. I'm kinda used to it now. I've sped up the mouse in my XP, Vista, and OSX86 partitions to not have a learning curve when I switch to other OSes. Thanks for the response.
