Compiz-Fusion Slow - No Windows border - Running on LiveCD

Postby footstamp » Mon Aug 06, 2007 8:50

Hi, I'm just trying to run Sabayon Linux. I put my Live CD, and I chose GLX acceleration because I have ATI x1050 (a.k.a ATI 9550). I use AthlonXP 1800+ and the memory is 512 MB

Animation is very slow - PROBABLY because I have installed anything yet, but the funny thing is I didn't see any windows borders and I can't min, max, move, or resize the window. I tried to change appearance with Emerald but seemed that it didn't solve the problem.

I tried to switch to KWin and there are no problems with that.

Anyone please help me here, or is this normal if I run from LiveCD ?

Reloading window decorator doesn't fix the borders?

Try selecting "Indirect rendering" from fusion-icon menu, perhaps that works out the speed issue.

It doesn't fix the problem. I tried Loose Binding as well. The windows border is still disappearing.
