need help with backing up dvds

Hello does anybody know how i can backup my copy protected dvds. i used dvd decrypter and dvd shrink under wine when i used ubuntu but for some reason dvd decrypter cant find my dvd drives when i installed it with wine in sabayon and i would like to try a linux alternative to dvd decrypter and dvd shrink. so if anybody knows about a good program to use please give me some help.
