The virtual manager that comes built in to SL3.4a x86_64 keeps throwing off this error:

Code: Select all
Unable to complete install 'libvirt.libvirtError virDomainCreateLinux() failed internal error Cannot find QEMU binary /usr/bin/qemu: No such file or directory
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/virt-manager/virtManager/create.py", line 677, in do_install
    dom = guest.start_install(False, meter = meter)
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.4/site-packages/virtinst/Guest.py", line 649, in start_install
    return self._do_install(consolecb, meter)
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.4/site-packages/virtinst/Guest.py", line 666, in _do_install
    self.domain = self.conn.createLinux(install_xml, 0)
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.4/site-packages/libvirt.py", line 480, in createLinux
    if ret is None:raise libvirtError('virDomainCreateLinux() failed', conn=self)
libvirtError: virDomainCreateLinux() failed internal error Cannot find QEMU binary /usr/bin/qemu: No such file or directory
'

Please help me out here as virtualbox is also not working for me.

Thanks

Sorry didn't mean to be cryptic.

Laptop Specs:

HP dv6000 series. AMD x86_64 X2 Turion 1GB RAM 160 GM SATA HDD SL 3.4a_64

Steps to get to error:

Open Virtual Machine GUI.

Select QEMU

Select host architecture "x86_64"

Gave it ~400 MBs of RAM to play with

Create image file . . .4Gbs

Right after it reaches 100% of completion of the Virtual Drive image, up pops that error saying that it can't find some python files in /usr/bin

I would post the output of eix -v virtual manager and python, but I am at work and my ssh isn't working right now.

Thanks for the help.
