I am using SabayonLinux-x86-3.3b.miniEdition and virtualbox. Starting from ISO, it can boot. I chose the menu and jump to next screen a big SabayonLinux logo then stop here.

It is SabayonLinux or virtualbox or me problem?

I'm having the same problem with Sabayon Linux 3.3b Live CD

I have a Win XP SP1 on my Area-51m laptop with VirtualBox 1.4.0 for Windows Hosts.

Whenever I boot to the Sabayon Live CD, a big Sabayon splash screen appears (the one with that chicken or penguin feet)-- same as the screenshot posted in this thread by mikeyao1.

I have successfully installed Ubuntu 7.0.4, PCLinuxOS 2007, Damn Small Linux, Mandriva Spring One 2007, Fedora 7, Knoppix 5.5.1, Win 3.11, Win 95, Win XP Pro, Windows Server 2003, and even BartPE. (I forgot the other distros and OS).

What are these cheat codes you're referring to. I don't see on the WIKI any details regarding this bug/error.

Can you be more specific as to what or where can I find these cheat codes.

I checked the cheat codes on the Wiki section but none of them works. They do not fix the problem. I'm a newbie Linux user (but it doesn't mean I'm a newbie computer user).

If anyone has ideas post it here please.

Hi guys, I have the same problem, it gets as far as the Sabayon screen and stops, tried some of the other things on the menu list but just the same happens, will watch this thread for answers. Adrian

isn't it just booting up?? just wait for a couple of minutes... the first time SL boots it takes a little longer than usual, because it has to set openGL right and it must configure the environment, so you can use it... try te key-combination ALT-F1 to show the output for the startup procedure...(or how you say that in english :wink:

)

Since your using windows just get vmplayer and then use easyvmx http://www.easyvmx.com/ to create a virtual amchine that you can isntall sabayon on
