I have an Texas Instrumental media card reader built-in on my Toshiba laptop that is not reading my sd memory...What can I do to make it work?.......

Yeah, Same prob here!! Kinda annoying isn't it :wink: I was told in the last edition I needed to add something to the rules, but that it too big of a hassle and I don't understand that much about these "rules"

Ok try loading the tifm_sd kernel module.

as root type in terminal:

HOLY HELL!! it worked!!! automount pulled it right up!! Thanx Joost!!! Finally, I can use the cardreader for my sd cards... I was tired of having to connect my camera and use battery power just to access my sd cards.

Now that this is done with that module load up at everyboot?? Or is there something I need to do?

add it to autoload list and you won't have any hassles

God, I'm gonna sound like a total n00b, but where is the autoload list?? Which one are we talking about? KDE has its own I know, but is there a another I should be adding it to?? I haven't added it to the KDE autoload yet, but I want to make sure this is the correct autoload file U were talking about..
