Very strange, if i do this, and put sleep to 5, 10 or 15 it doesn't work.. the menu hangs...

However, if it works for you, between the two above, it must help someone else..

Tails wrote:ok, I think i got it working... need a few more testing b4 i post the solution for the 200M card..... ;)

Edit: for 200M card or probably other card also??...... at least it works for me....

in the terminal:

type:
Code: Select all
cd ~/.kde/Autostart

then

Code: Select all
nano -w compiz

In there type in the following:

Code: Select all
#!/bin/bash
sleep 5
compiz-start &

then Ctrl + O to save and Ctril + X to exit

OK, what this script does is to delay the start of compiz, for some odd reason, KDE need to load everything first and then load compiz at last....

and finally

Code: Select all
chmod a+x compiz

reboot your computer and it should have the compiz working....

Depending on the speed of your computer, you may need to have a higher value of sleep if you have a slower computer, if it happens it doesn't work... change the "sleep 5" to "sleep 10" in the above script and so on.....

i also have the 200m card which i am having the same problem, i'll try your walkthrough on my laptop to see if this work. thanks

the other problem i'm having the keyboard stop responing after a couple of seconds

running laptop compaq v2400us

tried the info given but still doesnt work. o cant even go into the dir startup

im getting a unknown keyword in config file in the livecd startup. i thought maybe the dvd was bad so i burned a new dvd at a low rate but i still get the same error before starting the live dvd. i cant even get the compiz to work in the livedvd. i thought maybe i could install sabayon then it would work.....wrong lol

i then tried reinstall sabayon with Gnome instead of Kde this time but when i i try that i cant even use my keyboard to type my username password etc so now i', stuck.....errr i'lll wait to install sabayon at a later time i guess maybe something will happen.

btw the loops have always worked perfect but this final doesnt for some reason. i do like that now my belkin N1 card works but no use while sabayon doesnt work
