installer bug: installing after live cd boot fails

Hey folks, I found a pretty major bug in the installer:

I used the live cd to make sure things worked, updated the installer, and tried to install. After I meticulously partitioned my hard drive and went ahead, it failed at format. Gnome, KDE, doesn't matter. I finally installed from the initial menu and everything was fine. I suspect it was maybe because the live cd mounts all the partitions and if you delete a partition or overwrite it, maybe it doesn't unmount it?

In any case, i can imagine many a newbie losing interest if they try that, too.

If a partition is mounted it does this.
It does not do it by default -> mount partitions.
Usually I mounted the windows partition to get some driver / files over and forgot to unmount them then this happened.
