Compiz in KDE

Postby Sicundercover » Fri Jul 27, 2007 2:06

I noticed that KDE sees the "Super" button as "Menu" is there a way to change this?

I attempted to change the hotkey to <Menu> from <Super> but Compiz does not allow this.

Any ideas?

I'm not positive in 3.4, but in previous versions for me it was an Autostart script that assigned that. You can/should remove it like this:

1. Look in the kde Autostart folder on the terminal/konqueror. (i.e. cd /home/username/.kde/Autostart)
2. See if there are any scripts related to the windows key. (ls)
3. Remove it if there is.

If I remember correctly, that script bound the windows key to the menu (I assume because it's more like Windows), but you're right, it messes up Compiz.[/code]

And don't forget to restrt your X server for the change to take effect.
