The title bar disappeared whenever I start using XGL with compiz... anyone know how to fix that???

I manually run the emerald --replace and it still has the same problem.... >_<

Idem with laptop and X1700 (XGL)

Posibility to use FGLRX rather than ATI proprio driver ?

Probably too simple but...

I had the same problem, the frames weren't showing up. I fixed it by simply right clicking on the compiz-fusion icon -> select Window Decorator -> Emerald. After that the frames come up automatically everytime. Good luck!

Hi, I've got the same card (ATI 200M), and a similar issue.

If i type compiz-start & on boot, i get the compiz-fusion working, however it will NOT use the emerald windows decorations, it uses the KWIN ones. if i click on the little compiz-fusion icon in the toolbar, and select emerald as the window decorator, nothing changes..

Having had this working, on Ubuntu i tried compiz --replace -c emerald & but the -c option wasn't understood, and without it the command didn't work.

so how can i get the emerald windows decorations? Its really the only thing stopping me installing 3.4a

odd..... it works for me for emerald decorations..... the only bugs I found is that, the kde menu (kick-off) crashes quite a lot.......

I've been looking for a solid linux distro for a while and a friend of mine suggested Sabayon. I just did my first install and am having some problems getting Compiz Fusion to start. I get the same problem where the title bar disappears.

When I tried to execute compiz-start &

Terminal dumps out the following:
Starting Compiz with: --replace ccp -sm-disable
compiz (core) - Fatal: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0

& a prompt comes up that says:
Compiz cannot be started. Please check that you have a working and supported Video Card, OpenGL functionality or visit Sabayon Linux Support forum at: http://www.sabayonlinux.org/forum

GPU: ATI Technologies Inc M24 1P [Radeon Mobility X600]

As the error message says I have an ATI Radeon X600.

I found on another post that the developers were asking for information from a few dumps so I figured I'd include those as well

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks in advanced
