cd burn verify

Postby deas_gu_cath » Tue Jul 24, 2007 15:48

I have checked the iso I downloaded from the linuxstore of 3.3 with winMd5Sum and it is good, and the software I burned it with Sonic Digitalmedia Plus v7 also verified the disk, but it hangs when I the live CD environment is starting up. Any way to check the disc another way. Thanks for all your help thus far and in the future, us windows nubs would be lost with out you :)

You mean, at a certain point you have a blank screen?
In that case you should look at the boot cheat-codes.

Perhaps your monitor isn't perfectly supported.

boot cheat codes

Postby deas_gu_cath » Tue Jul 24, 2007 16:07

no, it says it is starting the live cd environment and freezes, I get the start up menu with all the choices on which way I want to boot, I jsut pick the top one, start I believe. the I get the Sabayon logo and at the bottom it says starting or creating the Live CD environment, I have left it there for about 5 minutes but nothing happens. it gives me the option to start in verbose mode alt F1 but not sure what that is. Freezes up anyways. in the process of burning the 3 dvd at the slowest possible rate. Now sorry for my irrnorance but the boot cheat codes how do those work. I might need a step by step. Thanks for the help by the way

Another question. I have the 64 edition, is it maybe to much for my computer? processor is an AMD 64 X2 dual core processor 3800+ and a gig of ram. I also have a 256mb e-Ge-Force 7200 GT video card newly installed a week ago. Could any of these be a problem?
