Think you can install realplayer / helixplayer.

Is there not a reallayer program installed already under multimedia.

http://www.real.com/linux

Or try as root in terminal
emerge -s realplayer
once it shows you if or what is there , should be " media-video/realplayer "
then
emerge realplayer

Kuroo on the desktop should be able to search for realplayer as well and or other software that can also play the real type files.

I have some RM files that most Linux media players (including Real/Helix) seem to have difficulty with. The one player that can cope with all of them is MPlayer.
Desktop1: Sabayon 3.4e, WinXP | Desktop2: Sabayon 3.4e, WinME |

Not sure but in windoze I had to add extra codecs for mp4 and other stuff to get most of my movies to be read.
It might be the same here not sure what name will be used for it , I used to everytime in SL install flac as well until amarok got to aac+ stable .

Could try to install wine and then "real alternative" or realplayer. Might just work.

Tried this link in windows and real alternative = "dead link file not found , outdated or inacurate"

You can try http://www.bbc.com and they have news video's on the left bottom 1/4 of the page.
They should work.

Can I install wine on a 64 bit Sabayon environment. Will it execute 32 bit Windoze apps?
On a 32 bit installed Sabayon I was able to get RealPlayer to work on that URL.

Have not tried it on 64bit as I have none.

http://winehq.org/

This should give you a idea if it will work on any 64bit then in SL too
