-upgrade from 3.3 to 3.4 ?

Postby Caraibes » Mon Jul 16, 2007 13:02

Hi all,

I am curious to know if it is possible to install Sabayon from the mini-CD 3.3, and then upgrade to the full version of 3.4 when it comes out.

That is an online upgrade, sort of like "apt-get update & apt-get upgrade", without the need to download the whole new dvd.

The idea behind that question is having an up-to-date Sabayon without having to re-install at each new release.

Thanks in advance for your insights...

One needs to get to know the package manager first.

I just posted some comments about my experience upgrading from the 3.3b mini here:

My impression is that you can keep your Sabayon-Linux up to date with world updates, but you'll be better off starting with an installation from a DVD, rather than the 3.3b mini CD version.
