Everytime, with or without the music, it will get to the point of:
"Waiting for the Open GL Configurator to finish"
then after a minute or so, the cursor stops blinking and the system is frozen. Is there a way to load it without that? I want to make sure the liveDVD works before I try installing.

how long do you wait ? It will take some time at that point, try waiting it out for a bit

I let it sit for about 10 minutes the first time, because I hadn't noticed that the cursor was no longer flashing. And I tried it with the different boot codes for an ATI video card as well

Did you use "xdriver=ati"
