Help seed Sabayon RC2

Postby elez » Wed Aug 16, 2006 18:15

Hey guys,
all of you who d/led Sabayon RC2 from the ftp and have some bandwidth to spare, come help seed it in linux tracker:
64bit:
http://www.linuxtracker.org/torrents-details.php?id=2669

32bit:
http://www.linuxtracker.org/torrents-details.php?id=2667

just start downloading it via your favorite bittorrent client, then stop the download, then replace the iso file that your bt client created for you with the one you downloaded off the ftp and start seeding.

I'm saying this cuz, at least at the 64bit front, it's going rather slow...
I only got 30Kb/s upload and we're like 3 people seeding.

Come on and help seed this fine fine distro.

Hi,

Would love to help seeding, but the ftp seems te be overloaded... :S Not too surprising actually, lol. Does anyone know if there is a mirror for these files yet?

My excitement has just subsided!

:?

The ftp site is asking me for a user/password. "Anonymous" doesn't work. Therefore, that attempt is useless for me. And I got nothing out of the Bit Torrent. Guess that I won't get to try this Linux Distro. I've been wanting to try Gentoo for years, but prior attempts were not successful also.

If you really wanna try Gentoo(as in RIGHT NOW), then you can try and download Kororaa.(http://www.kororaa.org). I know its another distro but Linux isn't about making other distros look bad, and since it is Gentoo based, I think it can provide your gentoo fil until you can DL Sabayon.

The ftp server has a 20 person max limit, please be patient, like I said before, we'll be better prepared for more punishment next time

Thanks for the link

I thought that Sabayon would fill the bill, since there is no assembly to be done, and no extra steps. I don't know anyting about the other link that you wrote, but I'll check on it. Thanks.
