mini live cd question/problem

Hello,

I have tried to boot up two different burns of the mini live cd, however each time after a couple of minutes of the "loading Sabayon" or "booting Sabayon" page it stops and I am left with nothing but a root command prompt.

I suspect this is a hardware issue? Any thoughts?

try the cheat codes?

Cheat codes = boot menu on cd and F1 to F9 should give you alternative boot options to add to current one you want.

Just add the noacpi or nokvm or res=1440x900 xdriver=nvidia insmod=ndiswrapper rmmod=bcm43xx or something like this after the text that is used to boot.

Think F5 shows the actual boot text / instructions.

Also once inside kde and ndiswrapper is not working after installing the bcmwl5.inf file use "modprobe -r ndiswrapper ; modprobe ndiswrapper" this command will unload and reload ndiswrapper or similar module.

You can use anything you want this is just examples.
