USB drives not showing up

Hi, I've got a weird problem. Since the last 2-3 days, my USB devices (iPod, pendrive) etc are not showing up in that taskbar panel thing. Nor do they turn up in Storage Devices menu.

How do I figure out why this is happening and fix this?? I wen to the panel configuration menu and checked everything, and now a bunch of HDD icons are visible, but no luck with my USB drives...

To start, we need to know what version of sabayon you are using.

Secondly, have you considered that one of these "HDD icons" may be your iPod? Have you checked them all?

If your using Sabayon 3.4 Loop3 you may be having a similar problem to me, where after a few boots, a number of my USB devices are no longer recognised. That why i decided to start manually upgrading from 3.3

Hey man, I'm running Sabayon 3.3...been waiting for 3.4 final to come out before I upgrade.

And yeah, I checked all the drives, its not one of them...earlier, if they didn't show up, I had to restart my system and they would appear in the taskbar. But now they've stopped coming up altogether...
