Problem with gnome themes in SL3.3

Hi folks,

does anyone else have this problem - I can't change my themes properly in
gnome-theme-manager. The icons are ok, but the scroll bars etc are always the default
ones apart from clearlooks. If it helps I get errors of the form

/usr/share/themes/GorLila/gtk-2.0/iconrc:174: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "scalable/stock/volume-zero.svg"

when I start gnome-theme-manager. I didn't change any permissions (not by hand anyway)
and also I get the same problem as root
