virtualbox + guest 3.4 loop3 is happy / success.

Just finished installing 3.4loop3 onto virtualbox and all is working nicely.

Only things that I noticed is the right click = not active but have not installed virtualbox additions as this might fix this = not a serious problem.

Booting and trying to install somehow virtualbox did not allocate the complete 20gb virtual hd so trying to get the installer to format the partitions showed during the configuring packages message and felt like it never completed.

Might also be that the actual laptop hd space allocation was happening same time as first format in live dvd on virtualbox and I was impatient. LOL

Fix = installed pclinuxos and created / formated partition with this and rebooted + checked if working = happy , then using the iso and not the dvd disk installed and used erase all partitions on hd and created 128mb /boot , 1024mb swap , rest of 20gb / and let it format.

Total install 60mins about using 2 core setting for virtual pc using iso.

This worked 100% and immediately showed formating and a progress bar.

Currently typing this message from inside sabayon 3.4 loop3 on virtualbox on pclinuxos host.
All other virtualbox hardware working 100% and recognised 100%.

NB: might have to use commit=30,noauto in host linux to speed up actual hd speed for Sab guest.

Setup :
Dell E1705 core duo t2600 2.16ghz , nvidia 7800gtx , 2gb 667mhz ddr2 , 50gb 54rpm sata laptop hd.
Pclinuxos Host OS + virtualbox + sabayon guest on virtualbox.
Have to use pclin host as fans + i8kutils / i8krellm not working otherwise = overheating laptop / kernel 2.6.20 - 2.6.22 vanilla / genkernel bug.

Have not tried it last time loop2 had hick-ups with parallels not sure if they updated parallels yet.

Virtualbox can be run on OSX , Linux , Win and it works + free.
PEUL version = / binary , OSE missing additions iso.

Here is a 19.99gb vdi formated with ext3 and compressed using rar = 1.5mb

IE: ext3 only and nothing on it No OS / No Distro can be repartitioned to 50 smaller partitions if you feel like it.

Purpose = to save time making one just extract after scanning for viruses ect , made on windoze machine so expect bad news / viruses .

PS> needs 19.99gb space on your hd also scan for anything , was clean when I uploaded it.
