im trying to get beryl working on my computer and its not working. if i go to terminal and type in beryl i get the beryl system check and it says

Detected xserver : AIGLX

Checking Display :0.0 ...

Checking for XComposite extension : failed

No composite extension
beryl: No composite extension


what do i have to do to get it to work. ive got an ati card which i know isnt supported that well by beryl but ive got beryl working on a laptop that has an ati card that doesnt support 3d acceleration at all

run as root
accel-manager

make selection

restart X

one more thing,
when you run desktop-accelerator make sure you choose XGL not AIXGL because ATI doesn't support AIXGL.
