Keyboard Layout

Postby theAlucard » Wed Aug 09, 2006 14:27

Hi,
problem is somehow solved, but i don't know why. what i did:

goto shell from sabayon xdm

run gdm

setting german

gnome and the keyboardlayout is german

exit gnome

reboot

login gnome

is half english keyboard is us!

rc-update del xdm default

then i run the good old gdm

language setting german (what is missing in the sabayon gdm)

start gnome and surprise, surprise the keyboard is in german but, it is missing the title bar of the windows.

so :

rc-update add xdm default

reboot

login and everything is perfekt!

I have a feeling it will be once we move more to a decentralized way of developing the distro

ehehe, my lappy is still running rc1, but that's coz I have actual work to do on it! :P
