Hi All,
Has anyone here managed to get Joost running using wine? I've followed the instructions on the Gentoo forum http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-55 ... art-0.html and all is going OK till I get to the the log in screen. As soon as I try to enter my user ID the login box vanishes and Joost just sits there on the splash screen.

Not sure but try to check if wine is not missing a part of it or something in deps that does this.
emerge -uD wine --pretend
Might have to install something linked to wine to get this fixed.
Heck could even be a font or java ?

the linux version of joost is coming later, they are only beta'ing on windows, because (just a guess here) much larger possible user base to beta test for you.

Joost is a bit of a nightmare. It doesn't allow proxys and will interperate a lot of Router-based connections as a proxy. I never got it working, even on a VM.
