Are you using vmware workstation or vmware player.

Player can only read and is very limited.

Vmware workstation you can make a new one or delete etc etc .

Think the old vmware player thingy is unhappy but they might be working on a new one for 3.4 final not sure.

Okay that's good news.

The instructions is there and just create a new virtual machine / guest , you will need minm. 11gb for the dvd and about avrg. 5gb for the cd 3.3mini . Shoul still have a wizard type function to do this.

There is a option for windows / linux 2.4 / linux 2.6 I usually use the linux 2.6 option. Does not make much difference on my pc with what ever I use there.

Ram if you have 2gb ram on the pc you can allocate 1gb or even minm. 512mb.

Only thing that can be tricky sometimes is the network device bridged or nat or host only.
You can change this later if you see no network connection running in guest OS.

Using 2 cores for the guest if you have a dual core is good and a bit faster than just 1 for the guest / virtual machine. Difference between a amd 2800+ and a actual dual core pentuim D 805 pc (15000 to 33000 sisandra)

Once you have the settings good select the cd /dvd drive to read the iso image as it is faster than a actual dvd disc , reading from hd.

Then install onto guest /virtual machine.

I get errors when i try to install, i have the 3.2 mini, when i try to install i get partition errors, i was hoping someone had a link to a virtual machine that was already created, so it would be easier

Think you have to use allocate disk space now option .

IE: I has to be the "non self expanding" disk but one that has used up the space on your hd already.

Delete virtual hd and click add and new and allocate disk space now then it works.

It does not like the growing disk space.
