Hey! Thanks! That really helped! I got my GUI back and everything. Only now I'm just about back to where I was in the beginning. Nvidia-settings now suddenly decided to give me options to adjust. So I am able to go to my max resolution. The problem is that it doesnt stick that way when I restart. Even when I say 'save to X'. I had this problem in Ubuntu as well once, but I just altered the xorg.conf then, only that time, it didnt break. I found this link through a friend

Basically telling me all the stuff I need to alter to get the most out of this model of laptop. The thing I'd like to alter the most is get sound working. And, well... I did as it said and it had no results.
Any ideas?
Also, as well as Acceleration Manager when I check the 'use AIGLX' or 'XGL' feature and then click 'configure desktop acceleration', it just closes the window and does noting.
Thats the latest!
Thanks again for all the help & good suggestions!
