emerge kicker (then add it to the panel afterwards)

much cooler is :
emerge kbfx
and check how your menu could look like with some themes: http://www.kde-look.org/index.php?xcontentmode=62

every time i use the way explained in that guide, it gives me the option for the Suse sytle menu, but it doesn't work for some reason, when selected or after a reboot.

Any advice :)

no its working with kde 3.5.7 now (meta)
i could never get it working with 3.5.6 as it always tried to pull in a dependancy called sys-lib/liblazy, which has a md5 issue (dont know if thats been resolved)
