dell insp. 6400, tv-out

hello, how would i get the tv out on a dell inspiron 6400 (e1505) to work? i have the model w/ the intel 915 graphics. any hints or links or anything will help.

What do you mean it's not real clear? Do you mean the VGA out socket? Or do you have a tv card like a Hauppauge?

If using the VGA out socket you will need to set up multiple monitors, therefore see wiki.

If using a tv card you will want Mythtv, therefore see wiki.

well its a laptop and it has an s-video out port. i want to know how to set it up because it doesnt seem to work on its own w/o configuring.
