WiFi Problems

I put a Sabayon 3.3 on my notebook (Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Li 1720), but i can't configure the wireless net. It simply worked previously on Windows XP, but now...i push the WiFi button but it doesn't do anything (even the WiFi's led won't blight up...) Should i setup some driver or there is problem with the option? Can u explain me how can i config the wireless net from step to step, cause i new in linux world (this is my first linux)...plz help!

Please utilize the search function before starting a new thread. This has been addressed in a lot of previous posts. If you can't find the answer in the previous posts, then post some more specifics about your hardware and someone will help you get it working.

I'm having a weird prob with my wireless to.. it searches for the network but wont complete after 28% just drops. the signals work fine at 88% strength on my friends lt ???

Are you using the network manager? I had to remove this and use the net-setup script. There is some info in the wiki or howto

It works now. apparently it's giving the wrong reading for the connection strenght. the ones i was trying to connect to were really weak.
