KDE 3.5.7 released

Postby tekwyzrd » Wed May 23, 2007 8:38

One of my computers runs openSUSE 10.2 and I was pleasantly surprised to find KDE 3.5.7 available.
The change that immediately got my attention are:

Kicker
Features:

* Added option to change the font color used by the taskbar applet. Fixes bug 118460. See SVN commit 636638.

KControl
Features:

* Allow changing of font colors for taskbar. Fixes bug 118460. See SVN commit 636638.

Bugfixes:

* Fix various crashes on KHotKeys. Fixes bugs 115109 and 139962.

To many it may seem minor, but if you have a light window background, dark text, a dark desktop background, and the taskbar set to transparent it can be difficult to see text. This is a KDE wish come true. More info on changes here.

I agree! This has irritated me for a long time and I am glad to see this function added.

Hi

Is there anyway of unmasking all the kde packages in one go? Kuroo asks you one at a time when you press the "check install" button, which is a pain.

Cheers

You worry too much about what is and what isn't, you have portage, it's all you need

kde-meta-3.5.7 is now in portage
