Yes, I know. The problem with the "manual" mode is that, if the wireless router is not powered on at system boot (which occurs sometimes because someone forget it...), then the network is not properly initialized, requiring either a reboot or entering a terminal and doing a 'sudo /etc/init.d/net.wlan0 restart'.
The first option is not usable if MythTV is recording something, and the second is, well..., not very adequate for my wife

So having kenetworkmanager working (BTW: is there any way to AUTOMATICALLY connect to one of the networks with it...?) would be a step forward, as the GUI is easier to use for the rest of members af my family.

PS: anyway, I did some tests yesterday and were not very good. The current version of NetworkManager doesn't seem to work fine with my Wifi adaptor (a ZD1211rw device), and it only properly initializes the adaptor the first time it tries to connect to the wifi network.
