Problems with download

Postby shacker » Sat Jun 03, 2006 21:31

Hi!
I've tried today to download rr64 from FTP, using Opera Browser. However it doesn't seem to have an and.
Look at screenshot

After downloading 2.8GB I've mouted iso with Deamon tools, and all readme files, htmls etc are just crap on it (strange characters).

Is it me doing something wrong or what?

I've used opera 8 and 9 beta, no problems at all. You just have to be sure, the transfer will not break, it did that to me and never recovered. If you have bad connection/you are unsure about it's stabibility, use some sort of crc checking download manager. Also, checking the MD5 is never a bad idea, especially with downloads this big.

What I did was multiple stop/resume transfer because this server is strange - just going slower and slower -> transfer limiting.
I've chcecked MD5, of course it was not equal because of different file sizes.
Anyway thanks for checking this.
