Kororaa accused of violating GPL

Please see here.

Sounds like a new tactic for MS? Kororaa has stopped distribution until a determination of validity of claim is reached.

many people distribute nvidia drivers with its distros/livecds in the past and no one has ever told a word.
We have two cases:

a) Put the lights on Kororaa
b) Put the lights on stupid people

I distribute RR4 and RR64 with nVIDIA drivers from years (one and half) and no none has ever wrote me something about that.

Maybe I am blind -
But the interesting part in those emails is the sender.
Who sent this email to the Kororaa Project?
No word about that.

Ok first of all:
Before someone react it should be clear who the sender is.

Don't shoot the messenger.

The issue is not who send the mail, but what the mail is talking about. I'm glad the sender of the mail send it straight to the developer of the koroora, instead of making it big and public slashparty.

the funny thing is that Kororaa always get a lot of visibility. And the funniest thing is that this news has been published accidentally the same day of RR64 miniEdition release.

That's only my personal opinion.

It's only something to gain some extra popularity.

Baah. You say they did it for publicity, I say they did it to promote your live-cd. For one day, people had to seek for an alternative, which happens to be your distro

Now, if you want publicity, go ahead and start a flamewar with them. Be as mature as you think they are. But remember what they say about fools..

..you start fighting with them, they drag you to their level and beat you with experience.

Of course, if both of the distros feel like they need publicity, the flamewar will happen. Not because either of the men running those distros want it to happen, but because they need it to happen. They need publicity and what's better way to have it, than having an open war? Public sees two dogs fighting, while the two dogs see giant audience downloading both of the distros. They keep on fighting, untill one of them is "dead"..by the time one of them is dead, beaten, they both have strong group of people supporting them.

Yeah. I don't do marketing. I am marketing. Seeing corporate behaviour models breeding in linux society makes me sick.

A very interesting take on things. I think we should be the bigger distro and just ignore it and leave it for what it is and go about making ourselves better.
